I am sure I am not the only mom...or parent for that matter, who feels like they have an overflowing plate of responsibility. I know I certainly do. Two jobs to help bring enough consistent income, and a couple side jobs to help bring in some extra money here and there, making sure kids are take care of, groceries, cleaning, managing doctor appts and work trainings, etc. Oh and don’t forget that self-care that is supposed to fit in there somewhere, being a fun and engaged parent (even if it means taping your eyelids open), and homeschooling when you remember. This does not include sick days or the extra clean up needed after the baby powder or poop fairies make a visit....please refer to previous posts.
So how in the world do we make it all work. We pray A LOT! And I heard this analogy not that long ago that really helped me to feel less like a failur. We have a lot of balls to juggle in life, but what we have to figure out is which ones are glass and which ones are plastic. Every day we are probably gonna drop some balls, but we want those to be the plastic ones. Wel how in the world do I figure that out???? PRAY!!!! Ask God for perspective and clarity. Which balls are balls and require the most attention and focus, and which ones are plastic and can maybe fall every so often. All I know is I cannot be super mom, so I must learn to give myself some grace as well.
Thank you for this reminder! Definitely needed
